I make my wife take a shower or bath atleast 4 times a day when she is on her period. Sad to say that a woman's touch on her period still makes things defiled and unclean. I heard a woman's touch on her period can sterilize animals. Wether or not this is true, is unimportant. What is important is that if she wants to sleep in the bed with me, she needs to shower 4 times a day on her period. I am being generous - she is lucky I don't build a shack or another building for her to go to when she is menstruating like the Samaritans do. I also know the Ethiopian Orthodox Church doesn't let women attend church on their periods so they know what I am talking about as well. My wife thinks I'm screwed up in the head and that my demands are ridiculous. On the contrary, I feel I'm being generous and not nearly as strict as I could be. Am I wrong for doing this?

I think the biggest concern might be that her skin will be more dried out, which might be uncomfortable for her. Four a day is pretty extreme. Maybe she could just wash down there to make you happy but not make her skin dry out too much for her. If she's not actually complaining about it, then don't worry about it, but if she does bring up dry skin, let her only shower once or twice but still make sure to wash well to make you happy.

How backward & ignorant you are. A woman is not unclean or defile when she's on her period. It is demeaning for you to speak like that about her. You have serious deep emotional issues. It's her bed as well as it's yours, if you don't like it when she's on her period go sleep in the sewer where you belong. You have offended me as a woman and you really pissed me off. I can't believe there are still stupid people like you around. Are you a caveman or something? Do you have any education? As far as you being generous, give me a break. the only thing that is wrong with this picture is that you just wrote that you "make " her do things and she actually does them!!! but why four..why not ten or twenty? why dont you call into her job and see if there is anyway they can build a shower in her office so that she can take a shower every hour?
point blank: youre wrong. 4 showers is extreme and i hope that you dont ask her to bathe that many times regularly..to be quite honest its unhealthy to wash down there so many times because you may disrupt the balance of good bacteria by washing so much which can lead to things like yeast infections which are not fun and you most definitely will not enjoy if you have a hard time dealing with a period. get a book..do some research..ask a doctor..do what ever you have to do to understand more about her body because you two will be enjoying it together(hopefully) for many years to come.

First of all, marriage is an equal patrnership. You should not be able to be strict on your wife. I am married and if my husband told me that, he would be sleeping on the couch or in the doghouse in the backyard. To your answer, yes. You are wrong on so many levels. You should respect your wife and everything that comes along with her. She should do the same for you. After all, she has no choice to have a period or not. She probably is not feeling well as it is on her period(cramps,bloating, and just icky herself). You are not helping at all by demanding that she take 4 showers a day.

why don't you be kind and gentle to her while she is on her period. she is going through more during that time and then to put up with crap like that. if you do not like her to be in the same bed as you during that time then why don't you sleep out side of the bed instead of making her. some women do not even feel like moving during some days of their period. it is not a fault it is a part of a woman's nature. she isn't dirty like some animal or whatever. she is your wife. if she wants to take a bath /shower that much fine more power to her but if not you need to get off the control thing. who are you any way to tell her when and how many times to take a shower or bath. husband does not equal ruler. a husband should be kind especially during that time of the month.

I understand where you are coming from; a biblical aspect. I guess. I know that in Leviticus of the Old Testament. it talks about how people that engage in intercourse while a woman is on her cycle should be cut off from their people. In reference to this question, it talks about how a woman is unclean on her cycle and that everything she touches is unclean. It also implies that she should not cook, clean etc. b/c anything she touches will be unclean. Therefore, you need to get busy and start cleaning up at least 4 times a day while your wife takes her 4 showers!!

Maybe you should clean that four times day, tell you what make that 8 just to be sure, do you know that a unclean penis carries all sorts of germs and can contribute to a women getting cervical cancer

Dude, you are being ridiculous ! If your that obsessed, just ask her to shower before going to bed. Unless she does not know how to properly take care of herself during that time, the demand for taking so many baths/showers because she has her period is a little much.

You are very wrong your wife has no control in menstruating this is a normal fact of life and if you want children one day then it is a good thing she is menstrating also maybe she thinks you are gross when you go and have a bowel movement. she is a woman get over it and grow up or find a man

yes that a very elementary way of thinking . if she cant help that and u dont like it maybe you shouldnt be with women. we hate periods just as much as u do. maybe you should bathe 4 times a day for having such a dirty thought. do u have ocd? Lucky she is listening to you. i would tell you to screw ur mother. i think the reason ethopians and indians do that is to let he women be left alone, b/c we tend to be irritable on our cycles, not anymore dirty than the average male.
