yeah, anything above dial up should run counter-strike decently

3.0 is twice as fast as what I get with cable in my area [1.5], and that is quite fast enough - internet looks like everything is on my computer. Friends come to visit who don't have cable and they go, "Wooo!" I tell them I downloaded the internet to my hard drive so I wouldn't have to wait, lol.

dude, yeah its fast enough. Anything Above 56K will get you ping around 50. 10 for me if I'm on a good server.

but dont you think thats overkill? a standard cable modem service has always done well for me.
