You can buy them almost everywhere you can buy vitamins. She can take a multivitamin in the mean time. There is nothing magical about prenatal vitamins, they are just formulated to provide optimal dosage for pregnant women. They tend to be a little more expensive that a regular vitamin, they are big huge pills and I had to take four of mine a day.

Many women do not know they are pregnant for several weeks and everything turns out fine. However, there are too many free maternity clinics for her to even consider NOT seeing a doctor. She owes it to herself and her unborn child. Tell her to call Planned Parenthood today - they will point her in the right direction.

Hi,

I'm pregnant right now (3rd one). Since my first pregnancy, I';ve been using Just Once Prenatal Vitamins by Rainbow Light. It's VERY good and I really like it (100% natural, no additives, coloring agents, etc). Don't buy it in stores, too expensive. Usually I buy online, about 50% cheaper ($less than $20 for 180 tablets). Here is the site:

Yes, don't wait until seeing a doctor to take it, because it's very important. See a doc as soon as possible, because she needs to get prenatal care to make sure everything is fine.

Hope it helps!

The OTC ones are in basic terms as stable because of fact the prescribed ones. The OTC ones have each and all the supplements which you and little one choose. The prescribed ones oftentimes have slightly extra supplements in them. So the two way your stable. i'm getting the only an afternoon prenatal supplements, $13 for a month grant. Prenatal Vitamins can be picked up at any drug store. The prices depend on the quantity in the bottle, and the lable name. About $5 and up.

Your friend needs to see a doctor or midwife for her prenatal appointments. That is a must.

Until her first appointment, she can pick up prenatal vitamins at your local drugstore or Target. They're not expensive at all.

To be on the safe side, your friend needs to go and see the doctor so that if there are any problems they can be detected now instead of when its too late. Women suffer from many deficiencies when they are pregnant and some may just require eating certain foods to clear the deficiencies and if food is inadequate then supplements come in. Please tell her to see the doctor ASAP!!!

I couldn't take the prenatal vitamins either. I took two flintstone plus iron chewables a day throughout my pregnancy and he was as healthy as can be. The doctor also told me to get some calcium and vitamin c chews due to me being lactose intolerant. GOOD LUCK!

she definitely should get prenantal care so that the doctor can monitor how her baby is coming along. she can get the vitamins pretty much anywhere that sells vitamins. i got mine at rite aid and a big bottle was about 14 dollars. now is a good time for her to make her first appointment at a doctor's office or clinic.

you can buy them at any drug store or retail store over the counter. actually i did better with the onesource prenatal vitamins that wal-mart sells than i did the ones my ob gave me. they made me sick. they cost about 6 dollars a bottle. she does need the prenatal care to make sure she and the baby are okay.
