what to get for a 23 year old male?

Well, being 20, I think I can help a bit.

What are his interests/likes? If it/they are:

Sports: Get him a sports apparel item, like a hoodie or maybe some paraphernalia for his room (collectibles, posters, etc.). Also, you can't go wrong with hats.

Video Games: Many guys still like games until they're 50 or so. If he has a system, get him a new game. Those run about $50 or so (check ign.com for some ideas on holiday gamer shopping, or 1up.com).

Clothes: I like getting clothes as well, and many guys do too. Find his favorite store and get him an outfit. If he has more expensive taste (Ralph Lauren, Express, etc.) get him a sweater or some nice jeans. Also, shoes are good, especially if they are classy or just look good on him. Some guys like tennis shoes, and some prefer walking/classic style shoes. Puma, K-Swiss, Timberland, Adidas, Nike, the list goes on.

I could make you a list 50 miles long, but only you know your beau and what he would want. Think about his personality. Think about conversations you've had where he may have said something about what he would like. Is he a runner? Does he like music? Does he entertain a lot?

You can think of something unique and special and it will mean more than spending that $50.
