Kirby is neither a male or a female.
It is an "it".
Why? Oh boy... this is going to make me sound like a uber nerd...
Because Kirby has no gender. In the Kirby TV show (which is NOT canon), he was created by Nightmare. The "male" part is only the voice actor.
Kirby comes from a family of other Kirby look-a-likes (for example, Meta Knight), none of which are female.
So how do they reproduce?
They're puffballs, for Pete's sake! They have no reproduction organs!
Kirby just sleeps until the next one is awakened.
