I would contact the major newspaper in Amarillo, and ask them how you could search their past copies. They probably have everything on disc or micro fische. Ofcourse you would have to either travel there to do this, or hire someone to research it for you.

the police should still maintain records on this matter. However, i think the motorcycle bandito missed one of the lovers. hehe
