File is a drop down file that has 4/6 items that used to be able to be opened. Thanks

if you press "alt" on the keyboard, this will bring the toolbar up.

Have you just upgraded to Internet Explorer 7? If so, the menu bar is hidden by default. You can bring it back by clicking on the Tools button at the top-right of the Internet Explorer window and selecting Menu Bar.
If you're using an earlier version of Internet Explorer, just right click on the toolbar and click Menu bar.

That could be one of 2 things , first , that you have close the toolbar so you need to open it or that your IE is infected . Now if you have acces to VIEW on the IE , then go into it and select view tool bar or select to view ALL
