My fiance and I are celebrating Christmas in our new condo and we'll have just moved in. We don't have a ton of money to spend, but want the night to be just the two of us. What kind of things can we do to make it a special night? Ideas?

Make dinner together (nothing fancy, but something you don't eat everyday), drink good wine, watch "It's a Wonderful Life", eat popcorn and drink hot cooca. You can also (if you want to commemorate the occasion), buy two glass ball ornaments, and write down your favorite memory of your new place, roll them up, and stuff them inside with some confetti to be opened up next year. :)

I would say that maybe the two of you could enjoy a nice evening in, just the two of you. Either order dinner in (if things are open Christmas Eve of course) or go out a few days before, shop together and plan a nice candle lit dinner at home. Then, Christmas Eve, both of you set the mood with Christmas lights and candles and just cook together (make sure it's together :o) A bottle of wine and some nice after dinner treats for the two of you, while watching a wonderful Christmas movie might be nice as well. I would suggest some Christmas Classics like "White Christmas," "Miracle on 34th Street," "It's A Wonderful Life", those sort of movies. Just spend it together snuggled up on the couch.

That's something that I would like for my boyfriend and I to do at some point, so I just thought I'd pass along the idea.

Good luck and have fun!

Buy the ingredients for your fav dinner, cook it together then go rent some classic Christmas movies. On the drive home go looking at the Christmas lights in the neighbourhood, then go home cuddle up and watch the movies!!

Try enjoying a bubble bath together with lots of candles and no overhead light, while sipping some inexpensive wine or champayne, then move into the livingroom and sit in front of the fireplace with a nice fire in it (if you have a fireplace) and talk about your plans for the future.
