my opinion...whatever the parents end up giving you. There is no rule for babysitting and if I were 11 years old I wouldn't be giving potential "employers" my hourly wage but rather be happy at what they gave me. I usually had free reign of the fridge, TV and phone when I was there, so I never felt cheated at all. I pray you don't either.

Hi i'm 11 years old and a babysitter. I usually get paid 7$ an hour for 4 littler kids that i babysit. I think this is good if i'm watching them full time. One time when i just had to go over when the parents went out and the kids were already asleep i got paid 5$ an hour. I think this is understandable becuase i didnt have to do anything. I would never ask for 7$ an hour so if your 11 year old babysitter does, that is rude and they should only get paid like 2$ an hour. hope i helped!

my 11 yr old daughter is really good with her younger brothers and sisters,but i wouldnt ask her to babysit.its too much responsibility on somebody so young,they're still a child themselves,14 is a more appropriate age.find an older babysitter or stay at home and have a drink like i do.its a lot cheaper and you know your children are safe.(as long as your not planning on getting out of your head).

personally, id get a babysitter for an 11 year old, never mind letting them babysit. sorry if thats not what you wanted to hear.

Honey I'm sorry but I'm a mom with a 9 year old and an 18mo. i would not allow a 11 year old to babysit my kids. I don't feel that at that age they are mature enough and responsible enough to do it. Try raking leaves or dog walking to earn some money.

You can allow an 11 year old to babysit it is illegal and very irresponsible, the legal age is 14 and at that you they can watch the kid over night.

an 11 year old is only a child. I would never pay someone I didn't think was responsible enough to watch my child in the first place. You should reconsider.

I don't mean to criticize or be rude but I don't think I would want an 11 yr old looking after my children....
Have a good think, my 11 year old can't look after his self let alone anyone else

nothing an 11 year old is too young to be left home alone let alone be responsible for another person. hire a capable 14 plus year old

As far as I know thats not actually legal.An 11 year old is too young for that responsibility
