I'm currently arguing with many people about the animosity toward Melrose. Why did everyone hate her? I thought she was generally sweet and hard working, and although she lacked some coping skills, she should have won. The other finalists were so immature! There's something to be said for a good personality and a kind heart. Despite the few times that Melrose was forced to defend herself with some harsh words, I can't understand why so many people wanted her to lose.

I agree with you entirely. I'm getting pretty tired of the Melrose Haters. She was truly the best contestant and completely deserved to win. Modeling is not just about natural talent; it's about hard work and passion. Melrose had that. She put it well when she said, "I put my heart and soul into this competition." Contrary to popular opinion, I think she handled a lot of situations in a mature manner. She had the knowledge that the industry calls for. She attempted to reconcile more than once. She wasn't the nasty person that people are making her out to be. It was pure jealousy that led everyone to hate her. But no one can deny that she had the best pictures and won so many of the challenges for a reason. I hope she gets some good contracts because she's going to make some people a lot of money.

*I also have to add that Caridee complained about Melrose on a minute-ly basis. She had a lot of attitude problems herself and could be wild and unprofessional. Just because she had a skin problem doesn't mean she should have won. Melrose deserved it. It's as simple as that. I wish her the best.

I don't think she necessarily deserved to win. Just because she did and said all the right things doesn't make her the perfect person to win ANTM. Even though the show was a competition, Melrose did not have to go out of her way to separate herself from the other girls. I would think that a model would have to have some interpersonal skills, since a large part of modeling is collaborative. Also, Melrose just didn't have the personality that would make you like her. Yes, she did show personality in some of the challenges, but it seemed like it wasn't genuine and just for show. I think that Melrose was so focused on being perfect that it led to her own demise. She sabotaged herself by concentration on WINNING every challenge and taking the best picture, when she should have been focusing on learning from the experience of every challenge.

Melrose from this season was a lot like Jade from last season or the season before. Melrose thought she knew everything and that she was perfect. When something did not go her way she never took responsibility for it she found someone or something else to blame and she became a cry baby about it. She was rude and bitchy and talked about almost everyone. Caridee was funny and nice and she was always improving and growing with the exception of her runway show.

She was fake. I loved her comments right after Caridee won "I'm pissed..." Totally what I would expect from Melrose. She was selfish and immature (she cried like a baby when she didn't win a challenge--and, no, that's not a sign of being a perfectionist). Melrose definitely knows fashion, and she should be able to find a job no problem, but Caridee was definitely more deserving to be called "America's Next Top Model"

If I was Melrose, I will be mean too. So I will work harder to win...... This show is not fair...... Melrose has everything other girls don't have ...... She's extremely supermodel. She rocked the runway, even when Caridee ripped her dress..... All the judges are wrong.. They should let America voted for Melrose and Caridee, not the Judgess....... It is not fair..... But Melrose I think you will be alot better and further Caridee in the future..... Be strong ..... I will support you forever.....................

Ya, frm the show itself, i find that Melrose is generally mature, nt like the other girls. And she wasn't mean to anyone before! haha... anyway, really disappointed with ANTM. They dun look at the consistent hardwork and performance and the runway show at all, they just choose anyone who's crazy enuff to be in the industry, like Tyra who's crazy herself.

Anyway, dun be hard on urself that the person u like didn't came out top, cos the media and entertainment industry is so fake in itself. One day u r a star, the other day u bcum cheap dirt.

Caridee did need to win! Shes an all-american female and of direction stable at modeling. Mel-rose replaced into in straightforward terms stable at it because of fact she practiced and replaced into an perfectionist. Caridee additionally had a extra suitable character. nicely, at-least that's my opinion.

Because she was so fake and the judges felt like she was trying to hard and it wasn't the real her like she was trying to be so perfect so she let that get to her.
