I'd go back to school and train to do something I really liked that paid well, possibly something that could lead to being self-employed and if you are artistic there are probably loads of things you can do.

Your future job should depend on the nature of your injury. Most important are how you injured your back initially, what causes recurrence of back pain, and what type of movements/activity are comfortable for you now. For example, if you have a herniated disk, you want to avoid anything that puts more pressure on the disk such as lifting, bending over (don't be a plumber or sell shoes), or leaning back (don't paint ceilings). If sitting for long periods of time doesn't hurt, go into some kind of desk job. You're artistic, so think about design, photography, journalism, etc. If sitting hurts, try something where you stand all day, like a museum guide/curator, or security. If you don't have the specific training for one of these jobs, start low and work your way up...you might not mind customer service so much if it's in a place that you love to go. As to your back pain, stay away from narcotic medications, they won't help much. Ask your doctor about the use of anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen and Tylenol (which can work synergistically with ibuprofen). You may need to take something to protect your stomach if you take ibuprofen long-term, though. And chronic back pain is often treated with amitriptyline. These medications may not be right for you depending on your other medical conditions or other medications you're taking, but it's worth looking into. Good luck!

it may be greater efficient in case you elect a job the place there is not any choose for lifting. So i could advise you to get some interest on the subject remember of bills or writing and could take some relax inbetween, like strolling and status. which will provide help to in bobbing up your well being and likewise you may focus greater on you artwork devoid of any tension. the terrific thought is self employment. the place you would be the supervisor and no remember if it is not achievable , you may seek for the interest that soots to your nature as I advised you in the previous.

visit your library or bookstore . get
'what colour is your parachute' and
'48 days to work you love' read digest highlight (if you own them) take notes and think about what you learn, then ACT on the info.
find a field you would do for near nothing (you like). and money will follow.
check the field out (don't ask colleges) with people in the field with over 5 yrs experiences.
work in field for free (short term) as volunteer. once you got a field to explore , learn with as few loans as possible. visit daveramsey.com to learn about money do's and don't's. learn to network in field before finishing school.
go with knowledge.

Something where you don't have to make too many decisions, as you seem unable to do so.
