i wouldnt worry about it. If you already mentioned it to her, she knows your feelings about it and if she wants to lighten the load she will. But her reasons for wearing so much makeup arent your problem, and you should just get along with her for who she is. dont create unnecesary drama.

When you see her next time Say "Hi, clown!" and she will say back "What did you say?" and You will say " I said Hi, clown." and she will say back " Why are you calling me a clown?" Then you respond in a respectful, truthful tone of voice " As a friend and do not take this the wrong way, the reason why I called you a clown is that your beautiful, but you wear way too much make up, you might want to tone down on the make up a bit. You look like a goth." Or you could say to her " You have a minute, I would like to talk to you about something?" and she will respone either no or yes. Then tell her " As a friend and do not take this the wrong way, you wear way too much make up which makes you look like a goth." Have a mirror ready to show her. Good luck on the friendship.

Let her choose what she wants to put on her face. You're not friends with her for the way she does her makeup, so why should it matter? If it is the way she wants to look, and feels comfortable, then it is what makes her happy, and that is what should be important to you as a friend, and not whether or not she looks like a goth. If someone came up and told you the way you dressed wasn't right and that you should change, don't you think you would feel offended? I totally understand why your friend probably got mad. The way she looks shouldn't matter to you - maybe it's a phase and she might change eventually, but if not, so what? If you enjoy her company, if you enjoy her friendship, then that's all that should matter...makeup or not.

Hey, do NOT tell her again. Of course, she got mad. Why does it bother YOU? She obviously likes it; she doesn't expect her friend to insult her, which you've already done, and probably made her self-conscious and feel bad, too. Whether you think it looks bad or not, it shouldn't affect you. Maybe it's just horrendous, but that's how she's feeling right now. Maybe she's experimenting; maybe she's hiding behind it; maybe she thinks it looks good; you really don't know. Why don't you just ignore it and be her friend like you said you are. If you're embarrassed being with her, then i guess you're not that much of a friend.

It's pretty much her choice how much make up she wants to wear. If you it really annoys, you, though, tell her like this:
Say something like: "Your hair looks really nice today. And boy, that blush really looks good on you. Sometimes, though, when I put on too much make-up it doesn't really suit me. Maybe a bit lighter make-up would work a little better with your skin tone. But man, I wish I had eyes like yours!"
Tell her a compliemnt, then tell her what you're thinking in the most understanding way you can, and then tell her another compliment.

Well, honestly, it shouldn't really matter to you how your friend looks, it's her face and if she can't see in the mirror how over-made-up she is, then it's her own problem. And maybe she knows what she's doing...
But if it REALLY irks you, try recommending your friend switch it up for a day and let you do her makeup. If you're any good, it can help you show her how pretty she is when her makeup is understanded.
If all else fails, remind her that makeup doesnt COVER UP a face, it ACCENTUATES it.

In my opinion i would try to tell her again in another way, you did not state how you told her so i can say how to do it again. But the facts about make- ups are that they make you look older before you are at old, i am not saying make-up should not be worn but not too hard and lightly too.

give her a makeover just say it will be fun to do eachothers make up and do it really nicely with a good liquid foundation that isnt too thick but covers if she is self concious about her skin. i would recomend rimmel lasting finish. if you make her look nicer but not caked she might like it and try it herself
