A 7th grader just informed me that God is going to punish me for having premarital sex. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that middle schoolers should stay out of the pregnancy section? A big thumbs down goes out to 'anysportzchik.'

I was actually raised into Christianity and I know right from wrong, however I have the freedom to do as I please and it is up to me to decide what to do with my body. If anyone really wants to get technical with me ... a sin is a sin. And in this particular religion, a lie is the same as murder in God's eyes. If she was raised to believe that she should wait to have sex, she should also know that it is wrong to judge others for their actions.

Yeah...
I'm done..

I think they should refrain from PARTICIPATING in this section unless they have a real question. Or a real answer ... and being punished for premarital sex is not a real answer. Because that question would have been in the "religion' section. ; )

Really the only way should be if they're pregnant and asking questions (I hope not) or if they're asking something about someone else's pregnancy ... like say a mother's or sister's, or how to help a friend. I MIGHT feel okay with a very young mother offering advice to other young mothers. But even then it depends on the issue.

So yeah, I agree.

Popular or not, you've got to judge friends based on your heart, as corny as that sounds. Make friends whose friendships are real and you know will last a long time. Being in the "popular" crowd is not everything anymore, now is the time where you need to start focusing on your classes and your future, because you're future is really not that far off. I know this might sound really cheesy, but it's all from my perspective. I'm only 15, about to be a junior in high school this upcoming school year, follow your heart and make the best of friends that you can, not peopel who will be bratty to you and maybe even hurt you emotionally during the years. i wish you best of luck on this topic. and have fun in junior high!

I welcome young girls here; many come for advice if they think or know that they are pregnant. It can get annoying when ANYONE starts preaching to you, but there's an issue with choosing the lesser of two evils. Are we going to ban them from here and not answer their questions? What kind of a woman would suggest such a thing?

Just FYI, that other person's answer had nothing to do with the person being a middle-schooler. It has to do with the fact that she's a high-and-mighty conservative Christian. If you're going to complain about someone's post, at least complain about the right element! :P

I do agree with you.

But she was trying to be helpful and I can not fault her and the way she worded it was not really mean or condeming at all.

I also think the same and have told my daughters. But I also tell them that this was not the case with me. I would like it if my daughters did not have pre-marital sex--but I know there is almost no chance of this happening. And I certainly do not intend to condemn them. And although it is a better thing--I do not think it is the kind of thing that requries god's forgiveness--though many good people disagree.

I totally agree with you, but there is no way to stop them. Let them just voice there opinion. If she is so worried about God punishing you, does she not know that one should not judge another. Forget her. I read your previous question.... I got pregnant at 19 and I had my son 3 days after my 20th bday. I did not marry his father until our son was 9 months old. Don't worry about what others think. Good luck!

God I know, it drives me nuts. The whole point of asking (serious) questions is looking for good answers from those who have experience. I really don’t think many middle school kids have had more than one pregnancy and raised kids.

While God would not punish, but forgive those sinner whom realizes their wrong doing and set to the right path. If the students bother you just ignorow them. Hate to inform you, but STDS and Aids are easily gain by sex even though your wearing protection. The best thing to do is to enjoy life. Hope this help

I have a niece exactly like that, during my pregnancy and now that my son is born she tries to tell me what to do with my child and she's 13 years old. I'm like hey I'm the adult and your the child with no kids of your own how can you tell me what to do with my baby. Kids now-a-days *shakes my head*

Why are they offering advice? Probably because they need advice on their own pregnancies. Once they find an answer out they pass it along to their other pregnant friends.
