The Society of Homeopaths and the Autism Society in the UK have a major, on-going research project regarding homeopathy and autism. There is no particular remedy because homeopathy treats the person, not the problem.
The teenager would need a full consultation with a qualified homeopath and be likely to need a number of remedies over time. Don't give up. Homeopathy has had remarkable positive results in treating autism.

For heavy metals- If he has any of those metal fillings, take him to a holistic dentist to get those things removed and filled with a more bio-compatible material. Stop using deodorant that has aluminum in it. Then have him take DHEA, which is good for actually removing the heavy metals from the blood.
Then look for a good detox, I'd recommend you go to http://curezone.com to find the detox that suits your needs. They also have an autism support forum, check that out as well.
Lastly, you may want to look at what he is eating. The hormones and anti-biotcs that are excessively pumped into most commercially available meats, milk and cheeses can wreak havoc on a teenager's hormones and mental state. Consider buying only organic meats, if you eat meat, especially during this sensitive time in his life.

Its the only kind of medicine that can actually help you, the nay sayers are just full of crap they give the same chant for every question about Homeopathy while they know next to nothing about it. I am speaking with my experience and that of my family and friends, they nay sayers have never ever even tried homeopathy and they are ready to sat negative things about it. Just paid propaganda nothing else. I would suggest you go ahead with homeopathic remedies and they will help you I have not seen them fail yet despite all the propaganda against them and I have been using them for more then 35 years now. Sometimes autism is caused by being oversensitive to noises and touch. There has been effective results in people who HAD autism. Now, it is not always caused because of this, but I wish you the best of luck!
