HOLLYWOOD - Hilary Duff and Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden have confirmed they have split after nearly two and half years together.
Madden made a DJ appearance at Chicago hotspot Enclave on Wednesday, where he told clubgoers he was no longer with Duff.
The band's manager Steve Feinberg tells People magazine, "I can indeed confirm that Joel is single.
"We are not going to elaborate on Joel's personal life but I will say they have split."
According to a witness at the Chicago club, Madden cited the couple's age difference as the source of the problems in their relationship.
Madden, 27, and Duff, 19, only went public with their relationship last year.

Joel is supposendly courting Nicole Richie now..... the reason they broke up replaced into the age vast difference replaced into getting too complicated for them, and they media continuously made up rumors about them.. and no, Hilary isn't courting Pete from Fall Out Boy or whoever..... i'm a large Hilary fan, so i listen/study each and everything that occurs with Hilary;)

yeah they broke up, but i dont think its a huge deal. and as for joel being to "immature" for his age, thats stupid, joel is awesome. i used to like hilary but she went hollywood and she isnt that pretty at all anymore, her face looks really different, she looked more normal in lizzie mcguire, now she looks like shes on drugs.

probably. If my boyfriend was kissing on some girl in his cologne commercial, I'd be pissed. Maybe that's how he feels.
but then again...I'm just assuming they broke up. I really never heard it. I don't like Hilary. when she was in Lizzie McGuire, her face was pretty, but then I saw her recent picture on a magazine and I was like "What the! Is she on drugs or somthing? Why if her face like that! dang!"

its true. its printed all over those celebrity magazines. they report that duff said madden was too immature even though he is 8 years older.
