I think a lot of people will continue to shop at regular stores, they want to see and hold things before they hand over money for them. With clothes especially, people want to try stuff on before parting with their cash.

But for books and music and generic stuff? Borders and B&N can't compete with Amazon's music department. The etailers in general have vastly better stock. My local car parts stores don't stock the wiper blades for my 2003 Passat, I can get them on-line in a couple of minutes.

Never I say,
Because, many people who use auction sites also have their shops established. They do both businesses online and real time.
Auction sites are specific, they don't sell all that we need at once but they do sell what takes more time to be delivered within 15 days or sometimes more.
I also like ebay and ubid but when I need to buy a used item compared cheap to the market price.
Well, as far i know only internet market shares 5% in the world market.
