I am now 39 weeks + 1 day.I have been having contractions every 4mins apart for an hour. They have just stopped!!! What can i do to get them started again??
I am still at home- i was going to make my way to the hospital when they started to get really painful. Don't get me wrong they were hurting, but i could cope with the pain :)

You could have sex! and don't have him pull out. Or you can walk really fast.

WELL I WOULD SAY WALK WALK WALK if they are still strong then they are labour contractions if they stop cause you walk then you are having false labour. dont take anything some people tell you to take castor oil but its not good to take cause if you aren't in full blown labour cause the baby can have a poop in the womb and get very sick from it so try walking about the house for as long as you can take a warm bath and sperm helps to soften the cervix either swallowed or vaginally. i did a bunch of research when i had my second daughter cause i had started and stopped labour for a whole month before she came and i was having full blow labour so my advice would be walking all around

Play with your nipples!
Honest to pete, my sister-in-law re-started her own labor with her third child doing that...Her sister was only gonna be in town for a week, so when the doctor's office told her to go rest instead of going in to the hospital, she played with her nipples long enough that the contractions finally started coming faster.

Walk...have sex......I would still get to the hospital asap, make sure everything is okay with the baby and such. If they were that close for an hour..they normally don't stop for the heck of it.

Walk, walk, walk. Or if you can stand it, have sex. Otherwise, your body just might not be ready.
I went into labor after about 3 hrs of shopping at a midnight sale. I must have been crazy. :)
