How are women forced into prostitution? Is it because they did not get a good education, made poor choices? Why would someone feel like they HAVE to do this?

They get in with the wrong crowd and are often verbally abused and told that they can't do anything, and when they are so low, and they actually believe that they can't do anything, then the person says, "I know something you'd be good at. You'll get all the attention you need." and they fall into it.
Or they have a family they need to provide for and they think that there''s no way to get the money other than to stand on the corner.

You should aware of how Japanese force thousands of women into prostitution during World War Two ? This is happening since ancient time.

I saw a book on this about 30 years ago, it was called something like "Female Slavery" or "Female Sexual Slavery". It talked about prostitution and included everything from pimps getting women addicted to drugs, to actually going into suburban homes and grabbing young housewives out of their homes and impressing them into sexual slavery/prostitution.

need for money, coersion, being young and trusting a lying adult/older peer, feeling like you can't do anything else, being in a new country (some illegals are taken into brothels by mob/organized crime units)
- I'd like to remind everyone not everyone is forced into this job. some want it and have clear mental health and should be able to do it.

Runaways, poor education, sexual abuse/physical abuse from their fathers. Who knows? Maybe because they think that is all they are good for is servicing men.

I don't think they are forced to. No one is forced to get into anything they don't want to. If they really didn't wanna do it, they just wouldn't. I think its the easy way of being broke.

This is usually done through trickery and threats. They trick the woman into being where they want them, and then threaten the women and tell her they will hurt her family if she tries to run.
