I am thinking about making a book about this wolf demon( think Inuyasha) who must save the world from a great evil. The problem is she doesn't want to do and if she does she will die. There is also a group of people known as the Renegades, they help keep the world in balance and make sure that no power is greater than the other. they mainly protect the Earth, Sky, and Sea. When the great evil appears in the world, the world turns into a place like Lord of the Rings. The demon, also, lost her family and many friends. The only family she has left is her older brother. That is the main story line. I have yet to come up with a name, so if you want to you can make some suggestions.

Ps: there is a Destiny sort of thing in this story. There are a lot of stuff that is really weird. Like the Guardians, they watch over the world(Like the Renegades, but more powerful).

Well I would actually need to know why she doesn't want to save the world? Is there someone other than her brother she doesn't want to leave behind? Will the Renegades be hunting her or relying on her?
As to character names try to match her personality to the meaning of her name. These sites should help with that.

Having a character that will die in the end for sure takes away from the experience. People will not want to get involved in a fatalistic story. Give the character an out, and slowly hint that the out will hurt a lot of people. Make the reader want the character to sacrifice herself.

As your main character, you want your readers to sympathise with Inuyasha and, for many, calling her a wolf demon from the get go would form a barrier and prevent them identifying with her.

I like your ideas. I think the challenge would be keeping it original alongside the other fantasy stories (like LOTR that you mention)

Good luck with it.

Sounds like a good start. I would make the fantasy world original, though, not like the sword-and-sorcery guy-type battles all the time LOTR setting. How about more females characters that have real parts..... Also, I would find a way not to kill off the heroine.

Good luck!

There is all the room in the world for every kind of story. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Go for it, send it out and who knows...you may have the next harry potter series in your laptop.

you really need to put more effort into your story before asking for anyone's input.
