What year was Dolly the sheep cloned and what was the process used to clone her?

She was cloned in February of 1997. It was by somatic cell nuclear transfer- specifically mammary tissue. That means a mammary cell (which is somatic, since it mature and isn't pluripotent like a stem cell), was biopsied and it's nucleus was transfered into an ovum with the original nucleus removed. For some reason, 'somatic nuclear transfer' seems to be sticking in my head... I would check it out on wikipedia, not Y/A!
