As an ex-smoker I can relate. I would notice stains on my fingers after a night of heavy smoking. They would go away after a few days of lighter smoking. I would strongly suggest that you quit completely due to more important health risks than just stains on your fingers. There are so many great tools to help you quit. However, if you must continue to smoke try cutting back.

crap habit!! me also!!!
I take a bath every morning, at least I dont stink of sweat? I soak and scrub my fingers with a good scouring pad. It is good.
No-one has any idea that I have the filthy habit of finger scrubbing and I feel better too.
I wonder what other bad habits some of the "hate smokers" have !!!!!

Stop smoking. Stains will go away soon enough.
By the way, your skin tone will improve, as will your hair's health, and your teeth and your breath, if you quit.
Not to even mention the benefits to the rest of your body.
I recommend Quitnet.com as a wonderful stop smoking support site.

i have smoked for 35 yrs. i do not think there are any ways
to get rid of the nicotine stained fingers. they will only get
worse the longer you smoke. so i quess people need to start
wearing gloves when they start smoking.

Get a nail brush and scrub your hands well with regular soap. Then use a hand cream (Nutrogena helps keep skin healthy and the unscented won't make you smell like a flower...lol) and your hands won't dry out so much from all the extra scrubbing.

A long term idea would be don't hold your cigarette with the same fingers or hand, switch it up a little.
short term get a scrub wash, or soak your hand in warm soapy water and kind of massage your hand.

I've heard lemon juice; also don't leave the cigarette with its tip burning under your fingers. Hold it palm facing down, as it won't stain as much..
