For the same reason that everyone who opposes the U.S. are terrorists. 'Terrorist' was a word seldom used; at one time, it was only heard in relation to Northern Ireland. Terrorism seemed to be 'tit for tat': you blow up my car, and I'll blow up yours. It was only after the demise of the USSR that the phantom 'terrorist' emerged in the U.S. Now it is commonplace, and terrorists are everywhere.
Terrorist seems to have become a word synonomous with enemy.

To what degree do you oppose Israel? If you are bent on their destruction, that's pretty much a terrorist tag.
Their are not a perfect country, but they exist and maybe you should ask if the Palestinians are loved so much by their Arab bretheren, why they don't give them a place to live?

Not all are terrorists, the others are radical skinheads, and extreme Left wing "Jimmy Carter" fans who think that the Jews should wander in the desert for another thousand years so that the Palestinians can get back the land that was never theirs in the first place. The last people to inhabit the traditional homeland of the Jews was the ottoman Turks, who were not even Arabs.
