I think it is connected to whether they were born that way or injured after having those skills. I also think, the answer is that every one is different and not consistent. (Ex. I often dream in color, but every once in a while it will be in black and white. Sometimes their are odors and sounds, sometimes you just 'understand' what the message is, even if you don't understand the reason for the message, but most often I don't remember what I dreamed.)

I don't know but I have always heard that someone who has never been able to see do not dream about seeing light but those who have seen and went blind always dream of seeing objects. but I have never been able to talk to someone who is deaf.

If they ever had hearing or vision (in childhood, for example) they might dream in sight or sound. Otherwise no -- those areas of the brain never developed.

My husband used to be blind and he had vivid dreams all of the time, it just takes imagination I guess. (He had a life changing surgery, it was truly a miracle, that's why I say used to be blind)
