For one thing not everyone copies the celebrities.
The people that do is because those celebrities become like a god to them.
In other words, they worship those people.

People copying celebirtities are usually fairly intelligent, because most celebirties have good taste. Why? Because they have personal stylists who have pieces fresh from Paris runways. Also, I think it is a pshycological idea, because celebirties have fame and fortune, and most everybody would like that.

They copy because they think famous people are inspiring to them so they want to be just like them. or just maybe they're stupid. or sometimes kids copy off of celebrities cause they think it is cool or they want to be cool and popular.
