I do. I am one of the only Caucasian people at my job. I have applied several times for a better job within this company. I was recommended by someone in that position and I took the written test and passed. I think I passed the interview for that position. They are aware that my schedule is wide open and they know I can work any shift.
After the interview I waited like they told me to and said they will email my current manager and tell me my status. My supervisor keeps asking me if I got the promotion. She even wrote me a letter of recommendation. They never got back to me. I inquired twice and was blown off by the person hiring.
Shortly after that I saw many new faces of the color of preference in that job position. They hired several people for that position.
My coworkers cannot believe they did not give me that job. They all tell me that if anyone is qualified for that job it is me.
I do have the qualifications and I know I would be an asset to the company.
I believe I am not being hired because of the color of my skin. Al of these jobs are filled by either Spanish or African American people. There are no white anglo people who fill those positions.
I have put in a few years with the company and my pay has increased and my health benefits are affordable.
If I leave the company I will probably have to start with another company from the ground up and loose my benefits for a while.
I feel very trapped in this dead end. I am financially not in a position to quit any job for any amount of time at all, unfortunately.
Therefore, I do feel I am stuck and it is unfair and unchangeable.

You have just asked a question that 50% of the working population deals with on a day to day basis. Life isn't fair. It is not supposed to be. How would you learn anything if it was? If your job is making you so unhappy, that you are debating if you should stay or go. Just go. You might find a better job. Then again, you probably won't. So you have to decide what is most important to you, and adjust your life accordingly.

I worked for a guy who has less integrity than anyone I ever met. His motto: If I don't get caught, I did nothing wrong". I left, put in my notice and left. Been having a little trouble finding something similar to do so I may be making your dinner next time you go out to eat. Be nice!! ;)
A situation in America is always changeable, just make sure you set enough money aside to make the change if you get that desperate (as I did).

you'll upward thrust once you learn a thanks to get issues performed personally and to crew-artwork with others in the route of a elementary purpose. yet although, once you learn those issues, you'd be able to hit upon a job, so that you gained't have a reason to upward thrust hostile to at least some thing.

Simple solution, either call HR, or quit.
But no, I don't have those situations.
