your board is a socket 462, this means the board accepts these cpus - duron, athlon, athlon xp, sempron. there are no athlon 64 processors designed for the socket 462. if you choose a sempron processor you may need to flash your motherboard bios to add support...

note: the socket 462 is also known as the socket A, and infact they refer to the same technology. the athlon 64 requires a socket 754, 939, or AM2 motherboard.

No, this is a socket A mobo. The only AMD processors that you can use are in the Athlon/Duron/Athlon XP series. They are pretty hard to find now and more expensive than the low end Athlon 64 x2 3800+. The Athlon 64 x2 series processors come to fit either a AM2 or 939 socket mobo. So, you'd have to change out your mobo to use these processors.

Why do you opt for an AMD? The X6 1100T fee touching directly to comparable to an i7 2600k. The intel might ruin the AMD. supply a funds and in case you fairly need AMD, or in case you do not likely know, supply us what you prefer to get out of the device.
