I'm Italian and I'd like to come there to improve my english but colleges are too expensive...so I thought ...why don't I try to look for families who could put foreigner students up?If you know something please let me get to know by this post....thanks!

You could probably look for "rooms for rent" in newspaper classified ads - check the online ones. These are rooms rented by families or individuals and the rent may be based on a per day, per week or per month basis.
You could also accept to host a British exchange student in your house. You will be able to practice your English and make a new friend. And when it's time for you to visit England, you could possibly stay at his/her house.
