I for one enjoy Christmas. It's the best time to get in touch with family members that you normally don't see during the year, it's watching the children open up their christmas gifts and playing with their cousins, it's the food that everyone puts together for all of us to eat (and my dad's banana pudding is to die for), and it's the music to sing along with.
Okay sounds good but sometimes the holiday season can be stressful so we have to think of the good things before going insane with family problems, hoping there is enough money to buy for everyone in the family because they seem to have to have the most kids, making sure dinner is planned so we don't all bring the same dish (minus the banna pudding - dad always does that), and making sure the children all get along.

I was really burnt out on Christmas for a long time but then I discovered that one of my best friends is Santa Claus and spends Christmas eve delivering toys. There's an organization in our city called Christmas Promise. They get info about needy families, accept donations of new toys, clothes, food coupons and toiletries, organize gift wrap sessions and prepare Santa bags for loading. On Christmas Eve day a whole fleet of sleighs, cleverly disguised as trucks, vans, and SUVs, shows up at the "North Pole." Vehicles are loaded and the Santa teams (Santa, driver and helper) make their deliveries. Now that I am a Santa's helper I can't wait for Christmas Eve.

Love it! For years I've loved it in spite of the fact that I could not take the whole Christmas story because it is so tragic, but I am beginning to be able to deal with that also.
If for no other reason than the scents of Christmas, I love it.

Christmas is great because you get time off from school without having to make up work and you get to spend the time with your family... We as a family can celebrate Jesus' birth together.. presents are cool too, and don't even get me started on food... YUM!!!!

I truly love Xmas and what it stands for, but I hate what Xmas has become. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Have you ever wondered why the day after xmas, everything you bought is a lot cheaper. Yes supply and demand, I understand that, and good business, I understand that, but what the rich are doing to us is wrong. To you all out there, Have a very Merry Xmas.

Yes, the true meaning and keeping it simple…
BUT I hate the commercialism and greed, and high anxiety / stress levels the general public exhibits… I wish I could take my family and hide from civilization for the entire the month of December…
