My boyfriend of 3 years are breaking up because he cheated on me, alot! We have a 15 month old son and alot of bills in both of our names. Other than family court for custody is there anyother papers i need to file?

That really depends on your state. My aunt lived with a guy in Colorado for 6 months and had to divorce him. I lived with my ex for a few years in New Mexico and didn't have to.

Find a family lawyer or a divorce lawyer that does free consultations and go in and speak with them on it. They will line you out on what all needs to be done...if anything.

I dont think there is any other papers but my advice to u is this could get messy i mean with the possessions u have accumulated together just remember if u have the possessions that is 9/10ths of the law. I lost all my furniture that was mostly mine because i just walked he took the lot. The courts dont give a dam about possessions

I think since you never married the bills in your name will be yours and the bills in his name will be his.

From experience don't be suprised if all the sudden you hear " I am not sure that I am the father"

You have to look into "common law marriage" laws in your state. They don't exist in my state, however, in the states in which they do, your relationship might be treated as a marriage and you would have to go through divorce proceedings.
