An Associates is better than nothing. Degrees help but so does the gift of gab. Besides they can't teach ya B.S. 101 in college.

Listen kid, there are no shortcuts or easy ways. The world is competitive. If it came down to two guys for the same job and one had a bachelors and the other an associates who do you think would come out on top? There is a direct correlation between education and income. Mull that one over. I was your age. You think the world is just waiting for you to take it by storm.
You think just because you want something you'll get it. Don't wait until your 30 or more to learn. You don't get anything worthwhile without hard work! Your rewards are proprotionate to your efforts. Put in the effort and get the bachelors. Show 'em that you're serious. And be aware of something else, a bachelors is the MINIMUM requirement for a lot of things. You'll still have to work like a dog to get ahead. Plus a bachelors will afford you more options. This question is a no-brainer for anyone who's been out in the world. Get the degree...end of story.

my opinion is it's pretty much a waste. Associates degrees are ok if it is a technical degree.. say an associates degree in like phlebotemy or associates degree in computer science, but if it is a general degree it really isn't worth much.

Any good jobs in marketing and Sales are going to say B.S. Required. My cousin got an associates in buisness managment and all that really got him was a job as a manager of a pizza hut. I guess it got him that, but if your going to school for 2 years you might as well go 2 more and really get somthing out of it.

A bachelor's degree is the new high school. Anything less than that is not enough. Employers are looking for anything that will distinguish candidates and a bachelor's shows that someone is willing to work and can stick with a project to completion.

It may not be reality but that is in a nutshell how it is viewed.

My wife got her associates degree and could not find a job that required one. You may be lucky or you may just end up wasting two years of your life. Two more is not that much when it makes your chances so much better.
