Okay me and my girlfriend have sex about 10-12 times a month (unprotexted) and while she currently hasent had her period yet (she's three days off) and last month she was 8 days off..how should i feel about our situation. say like it goes past 10 days this month. we took one test so far on the due day of her period and it came up negative. however, she has been feeling really weak in the stomach and threw up the other night for about 25 minutes. while she is irregular on her period at what point do i think i should be concerned? especially seeing as how we have been having unprotected sex actively..

Also, she's stated how the last time she felt this way she was pregnant and later that night we had conception again..if she hasent had her period yet does that increase her chances at pregnancy seeing as how it hasent come yet?

Basically, with all the irregularity going on with her period and our active sex life...what could i expect. already one day we had symptoms of it where she had heat flashes and threw up while nauticious..by the way we would love for it to be true if it were.

Go to the dollar store and drop $10 on home pregnancy tests.

This will get you 10 of them, enough so you don't have to feel conservative about using them. ;)

She took one "the other day"... It may have been too early. (Especially if she's irregular.) Try again now.

Also... are her periods normally really painful? Like, cold sweats, vomiting, etc? If so, that -- along with the irregularity -- could indicate endometriosis, which can sometimes make conception more difficult. (Luckily, it's treatable.)

The rule of thumb is if you've been trying unsuccessfully to conceive for 2 years, it's time to talk to the doctors.

Until then... you might want to hit the dollar store, again, for ovulation test kits. (Again, just $1.00 apiece there, compared to $10 and up elsewhere.) Or you might want to check out one of the saliva-microscopes like this one: http://www.shop.com/op/~Fertile_Focus_Personal_Ovulation_Microscope-prod-30440647-39764895?sourceid=3

You use it every morning, to predict fertility. When you're irregular (like me!), and not disciplined enough to keep basal body temperature charts, it's a lot easier than trying to blind-guess when to use the ovulation tests!

Good luck!

Your question is a little confusing, but I think you're saying that you and your girlfriend are trying to get pregnant (imho, you should marry first). Her period is irregular and at what point should you be concerned that she hasn't gotten pregnant yet? So, assuming my assumptions are correct, you shouldn't worry until you have been having unprotected sex for two years. Her irregular periods only make it confusing to find out very early if she becomes pregnant. I would wait until her period is two weeks late before using a home pregnancy test since her period is so unpredictable. My husband and I had trouble the first time. We tried for 2 1/2 years before I became pregnant. Sometimes it just takes a while. Good luck.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know when she ovulates if she is all over the place on her cycles, then it is hard to know WHEN to test (for accurate results).

Are you trying to conceive?? If so, then you may benefit by temping basal body temps and charting to show ovulation patterns.

If not, I would encourage her to go on the pill to regulate things and help prevent pregnancy.

I am not a big believer in early symptoms (not until 5-6 weeks), but it is hard to tell if these are early or not since we don't a possible ovulation date!

Just wait it out and test again in another few days!
