I know that just TELLING them I didn't mean them... or tryin to explain myself will only make me look more guilty. Deep down, I wonder if I DID mean them...and didn't even realize it myself. Could it be I said it and meant them- but, didn't even want to admit it to myself?

Its better to understand than be understood.

“I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”

“Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.”

“The one who understands does not speak; the one who speaks does not understand”

“It always takes awfully long time to understand unbelievably simple things.”

“There is a great difference between knowing and understanding: you can know a lot about something and not really understand it”

“It's the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary; only wise men are able to understand them.”

For the time being don't try to explain urself, if u have allready tried it then dnt try it again and again. let the situation calm down u urself dnt know weather u meant it or not, so make up ur mind! if u meant it then stick with it dnt try to justify urself, if u didnt mean it apologize once and forget about it. Different situations make us react in different ways, i dnt think ur friends bother thinking like that.

The first thing to do is admit your an idiot (Trust me I make lots of enemies). Wait till near Christmas and say "You know this is a season for forgivness. And idiots like me need alot." If they don't laugh and forgive you move on. they obviously don't want to be your friend.

If you did mean them, then it's obviosly subconcious, and that isn't something that extensive therapy can't take care of.

And anyway, just apologize, admit that you messed up, and buy them something shiny!!

sometimes ennemies are better than friends... ennemies may understand ur words but not friends... the more u explain 2 them, the more they"ll misunderstand u... so better liv ur lif with ennemies than with friends... friends are mere friends... so better look 4 friends that will understand ye...

You should keep trying. And make sure you apologize! When you correct yourself, stay
calm and say it calmly.
