Yes. Even more possible than you may ever realize. If they have gained access to your computer by infecting it with a Trojan then any information in your computer they can see.

Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/ . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.

Download, update and run Adaware---http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/products/select_your_product.php

Download SpywareBlaster---http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html

SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.

It's main features include:
- Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
- Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
- Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.

If the above programs do not find anything try this very powerful tools .Be carefull you can totally screw up your computer by deleting the wrong things.

Download HijackThis---http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php#hijackthis. Run and Save a Log. When you log comes up copy and paste the entire log at http://www.hijackthis.de/ . Analyze your results. You will then get a screen that will tell you if you have any nasty stuff in your computer. Follow instructions to deal with any nasties. CAUTION: This is a very powerful tool. Be careful.

Not just from opening an email, unless that email asked for a receipt and you clicked yes or okay. And that would only tell them that you had received the mail. Only if you answer the email from an unknown sender would they get your actual email address, which includes your internet provider. The rules of email are:
1. Never open unknown email
2. Never answer unknown email
3. Delete or put unknown email in spam blocker.
