I think Tucker is very cute....if that is what yall wanted to begin with then keep it. Don't change it for other people and like you said...kids will always find something.

You do have to consider the child when naming him but you also have to choose a name you like. This is YOUR child just don't forget that it is the child that has to live with the name YOU choose. Now, with that said I really believe you are going to get some punk who thinks it is beyond hilarious to call him the obvious word that rhymes with Tucker. When I was growing up my mother married a man with the last name Tuthill. For a short time I carried this name and I was called Butthill and Tithill. Funny now, not so funny when you're 9 years old. My opinion of the name Tucker: I think it's a really cute name but if it were me I would probably go for the other one. Maybe that is because of my personal experience though. YOU need to do what feels right for you and your family. It is just a name. I don't have any psychological damage from being called Butthill. I've been called worse, lol.

As someone else mentioned: if you like the name, why worry about other kids? Hopefully you will socialize your son with nice, respectful kids (no, I promise that's not an oxymoron) who won't realize that his name rhymes with any swear words until they're old enough to know not to either tease him or use such words.
Also, both the names you've chosen have a certain *something*. Either sound nice and unless your last name is "Tribilsi" or something with a "T" at the beginning I think "Tucker" or "Taylor" would flow very well.
In the end, though, it's your decision. And think about this: When your son is born, he'll love you unconditionally, regardless of what name you give him. ; )

My nephew is called Thomas but everyone calls him Tucker as a nickname. I'm not really sure why but I think it's cute, and he has the option of being called Thomas if he doesn't like it. My other nephew (brother of Tucker) is called Daniel, but everyone calls him Chumleigh, again just cos it's cute. You could do the same with Taylor, so later on he can choose for himself what he wants to be called. I love Tucker as a name though, and if you like it then go for it - he's your son. Andie x

There is a guy in the NHL named Darcy Tucker. And he is a tough guy. So if he can live with a name like that and make it to the NHL I wouldn't worry too much about your son.
Kids are always going to find something to tease about. Names, hair colour, height weight, there really isn't anything you can do about it.

I like Taylor better, but kids are so creative that they can find a way to make fun of any name. If you like Tucker better, call him that.

Tucker sounds like a farmer or something. I just picture overalls. Taylor is overused and I have met more girls with the name than boys. I suppose both of the names are cute for little boys, but how will he like his name when he is graduating from college or being considered at job interviews? Neither of the names are very mature or respectable sounding. Please pick an adult name that can be shortened into something childish until he grows into it.
