ok i have a grand am ^^^^ and it has about 128,000 miles on it, it runs good, but the anti-lock brakes lock, unlock, lock, unlock, when i try to stop in the snow/ice, so yeah ive been creepin like a normal person, lol, anyway to fix or is that just how a '94 would be, plus should i flush the engine for the heck of it, the rear intake manifold has a slow oil leak, the shop guy said fix it when it breaks, will flushing it make the manilfold leak more?

Don't waste you money flushing the engine unless there is a reason for it. What you are dealing with isn't a good reason.
As for the ABS, that is the way it behaves. It senses that there is one wheel trying to slow down faster than the others, so it dumps the brake on that wheel for a split-second, then re-applies it, then dumps it again etc.
On ice and in now, drive very cautiously and use a lower gear or transmission range if it is an automatic.

Good Luck and Merry Christmas

You may have some ice in between a speed sensor and a pickup ring. It's by your brake rotor. There is one behind every wheel. That would cause the ABS to activate falsly. If you are sliding on ice, then your ABS system is working properly. Your engine will be fine. Don't mess with it. Good luck.
