My friends dad has an anger managment issue and today she was crying all morning (at school) but I was the only one who saw other than the teacher. Her dad is in trouble, with the law, for making her miss school, come in late, and MINOR abuse but that's not the problem. What thinks should I say to make her feel better. I'm sleeping over at her house and i don't want her to feel bad!!

There are anonymous hotlines out there that she can call, or you can call. Any abuse by a parent, no matter how minor, whether it's physical or psychological, is against the law. Teachers are mandated reporters also, which means that if they spot possible abuse, they are required to report it to authorities. I don't know what state you are in, but if you go to any search engine online and type in child abuse, and your state, you can find more information on what you can do to help your friend. In the meantime, I would not recommend that you stay over there, as you could possibly subject yourself to the dad's anger. Is there any way your friend could stay at your house tonight so you can research the hotlines without fear of the dad catching you? Please let me know if this was helpful, and good luck.
