I have a 2003 toyota corolla and just recently got an oil change and afterwards I started hearing a noise from my vents when I cut the heat on.

I've been here before. My guess would be that an object has gotten into the blower motor housing and is rubbing, flapping or making contact with the fan. Once mine was simply a piece of folded up paper, another time in was an ink pen that had fallen through the defroster vent. Some models have an access panel you can remove to look see. Try switching between heat and cooling, maybe you can dislodge whatever it might be. It could be that the bearings/ bushings in the fan motor are worn or in need of lube. I don't think the oil change truly was the cause.

You have junk in the bottom of the air inlets....probably a business car or something small.....requires taking the dash apart and cleaning out the air ducts --- only way to solve this problem---you might have a quick fix by removal of the vent directs and using a strong vaccuum cleaner to draw out the junk-problem and claen at the same time...good luck -----this is not an easy thing to cure..

what kind of noise is it?
does it sound like a vibration? do you park your car outside?
you may have leaves built up in the cowl (the vents by the wipers) that got inside of the cars vent system

I took my blower motor out of my car one time and it had a piece of paper that got traped in the squirl cage (type of fan)
