Yes because you can feel alone. You may have nobody you feel like talking to, or you may not be enjoying the company at the present moment, thus you get the feeling of being alone. Technically you are not really alone because there are people everywhere, but still the feeling of being alone is enough to conclude that you are in fact alone.

Yes...when my husband & I met again (he wasn't my hubby at the time) after a 8 year seperation...it was Saturday nite at a crowded bar. When our eyes met everyone else disappeared...truly they seemed to. Needless to say we are still together 5 years later and he still makes my heart flutter.
So technically I wasn't alone but pretty close!!

A person can feel alone in their hearts and souls and if they feel alone that way, it doesn't matter how many people are in the room.

Yeah sorta alone with your thoughts and especially if you are shy and do not know anyone...a crowd sometimes can be a very lonely place...

Yes. I felt alone all through out junior high and high school. Hundreds of hundreds of kids and I was alone

you didn't specify crowded with what, people, dust? will think you mean people. you can. you might have many around you physically but you can still be alone since you are not connected with them emotionally.

OH YEAH, that happens to me alot. I'm in a room full of people and I'm thinking of other things and I just feel like I'm there by myself.
