Make sure that the temperature si right. If theyre red eared sliders thats probably the problem. my turtle also seems to get bored every once in a while. I dont know how healthy this is but I feed my turtle fresh fish. I cut it into a paste and he always eats it.

You don't tell us the species or care situation, but...

Most turtles don't eat because their basic cares are not being met. Turtles love the sun and space, and in captivity we often deny them both.

Some basic things a captive turtle needs include:

SPACE. Aim for 10 gallons of water per inch of turtle. You have 5", so should have a 50 gallon pool- like a mostly filled 80 gallon tub. (A lot of us use big Rubbermaid tubs for bigger habitats.)

TEMPS. Heat the water to about 75-80, and heat the basking sites to a nice sunny 90.

WATER QUALITY. Filter the water about 2-3 times more than you would a fish tank of the same size.

BASKING/OTHER. Turtles need options- cooler, shady areas and basking sites like logs or rock piles. Each turtle should have its own options.

LIGHTING. Turtles love the sun and need UV-B rays. Use a good sun-simulating bulb to provide good light, and a timer to duplicate a nice summers day.

DIET. Combine some high-quality turtle pellets with a variety of good 'fish foods', like small fish, bugs, worms, shrimp, etc.

It would really help to know what kind of turtles you have. Im guessing water turtles like RES. Biggest problem with sliders not eating is low water and/or basking temperatures. You should have water temps of 75-82F and a basking temp of 85-95F.

Also make sure you feed them in water, they cant swallow unless they are in the water.

It is a sign of what they never take sun or uva !!! A heater lamp is very important to them to get hungry too !!
They need to eat some vitamins , like A", calcium, and a good food like worms, snails, etc....

The only thing you can do to your turtles eat is that they take long hours of sun !!!( or uva for a fluorecent lamp ) 12 hs is ok for them.

Please go to a vet to prevent tmem die !!

Thanxs a good luck !

Well, I've never really cared for turtles. I just gut them and stew them. It's pretty good. You should try it sometime.
