Why gay men tend to get attracted only with muscle & good-looking guys?

I know this is absurd.. but I wanna know why gay men often to get aroused only to other muscle and good looking gay men?
Isn't it unfair for those who are not muscle and handsome at all? How is their fate then if they never asked to be born skinny, fat, not so handsome but they are just unlucky to have not so attracted physical things?
Will they become alone all their life, with no one wants or desires them at all?

Work with what you got and stop fretting over why some guys only like perfect guys. If you're skinny or fat you can change that if its an issue with you, but do it for yourself not because you think thats where your worth will come from. I've known some pretty ugly people who happened to look very handsome and pretty on the outside.

There is someone for everyone, not everyone shares the same tastes. Work on your self esteem, and take pride in who you are, show some confidence, and guys will see something in you that to them is beautiful.

Attraction is only as deep as a person's character - and there are a lot of shallow people out there. Admittedly, it has been a cultural trend to be a gym rat if you are gay and under 25. In a lot of gay bars, if you are over 25, you are considered to be a "troll". If you are over 30, you are considered a Senior Citizen. I am 45, so obviously I am Yoda. What most 20somethings do not realize is that the beautiful body they have at 21 is a ticking timebomb. Once 25 sets in, the metabolism starts a genetically pre-programmed choreography that we can temporarily prolong, but certainly not stop. Most 30+ are not fat because they overeat. They are fat because genetic preprogramming kicks in and all those genes and alleles that you inherited start to awaken and do what they were programmed to do. Like it or not, it's the shallow people that are going to be the lonely ones. By the time they reach 40, the body beautiful has matured into the mind beautiful. Looks will get you $50 on the street if you are young. Brains will get you that Delorean.

Maybe we should switch swaggers. I seem to attract a lot more women than gay men. If I had to through on a label, I would be bisexual, so I'm not complaining. I think it has to be your presence and the way you carry yourself. Look at the way you dress, walk, talk, gay men are really good at trying to read other men....they call it gaydar.

For the same reason that most women look for the same things in a guy. Same reason straight men look for slim, well built, pretty women. Dispite all the talk to the contrary, people tend to be shallow. Physical appearances count for a LOT at least in the beginnings of most relationships.

I think the popularity of various physical types varies from type to type, and good-looking guys with muscles happen to be particularly popular (and what fill the pages of gay media.) But, it seems to me that all types have their admirers. Personally, I prefer smooth guys who range from skinny to swimmers build. Huge bodybuilder types do nothing for me.

Not true. My room mate is gay and he is NOT attracted to the muscly type; most of his boyfriends tend toward plumpness. Everyone is different.

They are just as fussy and judgemental as the rest of us. Many straight guys go for skinny azzed flat chested gals built like boys. Many gals go for brawn but no brains. Who knows???
