Oh, gosh yes. I amazed some of my co-workers by saying what theirs were (not vanity, just some numbers) and one said "How do you DO that?" I just pay attention, that's all.

Yeah... I'm obsessed with them... stems from my childhood and the "License Plate Game". The goal is to make a word with the letters in the word in the same order as on the plate. Bonus points to the first person who spots one that already spells a word.

no...in Ireland everyone has similar license plates, they just have the year and county the car was registered in and a couple of numbers like
'06 D 123'
if there's a stupid driver we always look at the number plate and if its '06 we always give out saying, its some rich poser with 'more money than brains' lol

Yeah and the best one I've ever seen so far was PMS247
But what I also do when I am in peak hour bumper to bumper real slow traffic and get bored, I memorise some of the license plates from the other lanes and then "race" with them.
Then they pass me, 'cause their lane is faster...
and then I pass them 'cause my lane is faster.
That way I also figure out whether I am in the fastest lane!!!

I used to, all the time; played the state game and everything. I actually saw one once with my name on it, which kinda bummed me out because I wanted to do that!
License plates are cool, but when you live in a state like Florida(we have so many specialty plates it isn't funny), the novelty kinda wears off.....sad, huh?

Only on long car trips or if they catch my attention. As a kid I always played the find every state game.

Yup my roomate and I play the lisence place game. we get to hit eachother with out of state ones. We have been known to take pictures of them as well for the free hit.

Always and the funniest one I think I ever saw was a brand new yellow Bug with the plates "WEEEEEEEE!"
