Should I give up on finding a job? It's been two months and nothing. I'm a member of career builder and moster jobs. I keep looking in the help wanted ads, apply online. Go to the unemployment office, when I go out I ask if they are hiring. All I get is your'e not experenced or we're not hiring or taking applications now. What next????

never give up ever. Make a resume that stands out....The more resumes you put out increases your chances. I amgoing crazy with the same thing right now and it has only been 1 wk. so I feel for you. what state are you from and r u like me willtake anything right now? A temp service will getyou into something crappy but it looks better if you r currently employed. A person moving onward and upwards. I lied and gave them my stepdads number as my current employer...I got 3 calls in one day but the jobs were 50 miles one way...BUT when I CHANGED my resume to currently employed I got calls.....JUST FIND SOMEONE TO BEND THE TRUTH A LITTLE....I will do it for you.....Im not crazy....e-mail me....

What skills do you have? If the answer is none, then take any entry level job you can get - including flipping burgers. Employers can spot hard work and intelligence and will promote from within when a higher level job opens up - the guy that is always at work on time and does what is expected of him would be a candidate for opening and closing the business (read: manager).
If there is a skill or trade you would like to learn, apply for a job doing the grunt work at that business and work up. You might also consider how you present yourself. That canned answer of "we aren't hiring right now" could just be to get rid of you. The guy that comes into my work place holding the Big Gulp from 7-11 in one hand and calls me Hon (thinking I"m the receptionist) gets that canned answer. The ex-con who comes back day after day to check on any position available gets a chance to prove himself. So take a look at what you have to offer the employer.

No way should you give up. Looking for work is one of the hardest everyday things people do. It's frustrating. It makes you feel bad about yourself. It's lousy. But do it anyway! You'll be glad you did. When you get that job everything you went through will have been more than worth it. Have you tried a temp agency? You can at least be doing something and have a paycheck coming in. Keep at it man! You'll definitely succeed if you keep trying.

Keep at it. Take any job you can get to get experience (and money). On average, it takes at least 3 months to get a job - especially if you are applying at large corporations because it taked them that long to pour through resumes.

I never got jack off websites or the paper. Start talking to your friends about who they know that can help you. It really is WHO you know.

Try making appointments with people in the field you are in to see what they look for in an employee. They may be valuable contacts in the future.

Good luck!

unless you can afford to stay at home and not work, don't give up. You have 2 more options - 1)try to find a temp to hire through an agency or 2) call into employers and speak with the hiring managers directly to show then your interest level.
Also, ask your friends to help you out - have them refer you to their managers
