my dad is in to golf, music, is mostly stay at home. he likes to work out. i do not know what to get him. i have an amazing present for my mom and nothing for him. somthing like 45 dollars or less

The best gift a child can give to a parent is a card/letter/note that tells your dad why you appreciate him, what you have learned from him, how he has been a positive force in your life, and how much you love him.
If he's not all that, just get him a new workout jacket to wear to the gym.

How about a gift subscription to "Men's Health" or a Golf magazine. He will enjoy that all year.
It's about the right price range and he'll remember all year what you've done for him.

If he doesn't have them and you can find some how about weights, that way he can workout at home or get him some ankle weights so if he likes to walk it will really help him workout.

I dunno but if your dad likes to grill you should get him a Fork thermomeater. Its a grilling fork but with a built in thermomeater that tells you what the temperature of the meat is so you know if its done!
And also you should get him a thoughtful card.
