Yeah but heyre nutttin but gangstas with guns, badges and people in the right places. Un less they shot at someone holding a hostage, had a weapon pointed at them or someone was trying to hit them with a car.Other then that then yes they should have to wait untill shots are fired.Dont care for cops myself but here are some good ones out there that dont hide behind the badge.

No, and if you are referring to the shooting in New York, I think it is pretty stupid that NY doesn't think a car is a lethal weapon. Sounds like we got some more scum off of the streets to me. I hope the Police involved are found not guilty.

No. Police are trained to confront force with superior force. If police or citizens are in danger from a gun wielding maniac, they do not have to wait for him to shoot, to eliminate the danger.

No. If they feel you are armed or they are in danger they can shoot, just like anyone else in a state with a "make my day law." In fact, if you do have a weapon pointed at them they are trained to shoot first.

They make a judgement call, sometimes it is hard under that kind of stress, when their life or someone else's is perceived to be in danger. Little toy guns held by the criminal/perpetrator make this decision for them sometimes.

Absolutely not. If a police officer feels that he or others are in imminent, mortal danger from a threat, they can discharge their weapon.
