I had flown during my first and last trimester. Certain airlines will not allow you to fly if you are at 36 weeks. Some are less. Check with the airlines. Everything was fine. Same as when I wasnt prego, just a little more uncomfortable. I was 8 weeks the first time and around 30 or 31 weeks the second time.

Normally you can't fly within the last month of pregnancy but some air lanes are different some will let you travel within that month. If you are planning to travel in late pregnancy make sure it isn't long trips and you need to keep the circulation in your body. That means getting up alot to walk. Yo have to remember you have a vital Atari along the bottom of your stomach so just be careful. Other then that you can travel though out your pregnancy but in the last month.

I flew on a plane from Seoul So. Korea to Seattle washington when I was 25 weeks pregnant. I was being discharged from the Army. It was no problem. I had a pretty easy pregnancy though. I think the take off and landing were the worst part. Felt a little sick, but other than that it was fine.

8 weeks. Plane didn't affect me much. But once we were off the plane and we got in the car, I puked. Eventually, all the motion sickness got to me. And the trip wasn't very fun for me either. But all pregnancies are different. If we took a trip during this pregnancy, I would have been fine. Good luck.

I flew late in my first trimester...from Iowa to Nevada. I was 11 weeks and it was just fine for me. I never had any morning sickness or anything though, so that may make a difference...but everything was just peachy for our trip :)

And FYI most Doctors will tell you it's perfectly safe to travel by plane up until your last month or two of pregnancy unless you have complications that would prevent it.

I was able to fly during my 7th month, but I think that the only reason my docotr let me was because my husband had been relocated for work, AND the flight was only an hour and a half. The flight was totally uneventful for me, just a little uncomfortable because my hips spread a little HAHA! Make sure you sit towards the front where the turbulence isn't as bad, and you are close to the water and bathrooms. And try to elevate your feet as much as possible, and most importantly- relax!! And congrats to ya!

I flew from St. Louis to Las Vegas when I was 36 weeks. The flight itself was fine, I wasn't too uncomfortable, but all of the walking was tough (we walked a LOT that day and I really tired myself out) and it brought on contractions. They didn't result in anything but I started to worry I was going to go into labor and went to the hospital just to make sure! Not a fun way to spend part of your vacation. They gave me a muscle relaxant and I took it easy the next few days of the trip. It was just a case of me trying to do too much when I wasn't capable of that much activity.

It's usually not reccomended that you fly last trimester. Just yesterday a women gave birth on her way to chicago! I flew during first trimester and it may make you feel queasy if you already have morning sickness. My friend flew late in her pregnancy and she said her doc told her to get up and walk a lot to prevent swelling and blood clots. You should definatly consult your doc and see what he/she thinks first. If you are already dialated or effaced it might not be a good idea.
