OK, in the first one, sheepishly and boldly are opposites so look for two words that are opposites. Happily, sadly fits the bill.

In the second one, a scowl is a type of expression, so you look for two words that relate in that way too. eyes are NOT a type of face, hour is not a type of clock, but CAR IS a type of vehicle.

I hope next time you will now understand how to figure this out for yourself.

Well for #1...sheepishly is the opposite of boldly so the anwer would be opposites....For #2 a scowl is a TYPE of expression, so the answer would be something where the second word is a TYPE of the first word....I'm not going to tell the answer but you can figure it out from there! Good luck! = )

1 is a. They are both antonyms, or opposites.

2 is c. A scowl is a type of expression like a car is a type of vehicle.
