I've been dating this woman for about a month. I like her, but she is so unstable. Like if I don't answer an email quick enough she gets really mad and breaks it off with me. Then the next day she feels bad and apologizes. This has happened twice now in a month. She told me she was sexually abused for a long time when she was a child. Is this why?

Abused children compensate by becoming over emphatic about little things. It is by doing so that they are able to deal with the enormity of their horror. It matters little that they grow into adults.
She is damaged, and she is showing you by the way she reacts that this is the pattern of how she will be for the duration of your relationship together.
It takes a special love and understanding, and a lot of patience to work through this.
Please try not to judge too much, but be prepared for a long and testing ordeal in this relationship if you decide you want to take it into a serious stage.
Remember she is the product of dysfunction in childhood...NOT ignorance/ arrogance in maturity.

One thing you should know before you continue with this relationship. If somebody knows about it, it is not a problem for them. Unknowns are the cause of problems not knowns. If you know that somebody is sticking a knife in your back you would be okey with it. You can handle it because it is known to you. now most people try and figure out why this person stuck a knife in your back and there you have the unknown. The guy keeps sticking a knife in and you can't figure out why. insteed of looking at the known and saying wow there is a knife in my back he stuck it there. Well I better go to the hospital. And he sticks knives in my back so stay away from him. you get well people stick knives in your back and I don't know why. But I can't trust anybody Or I just have to live with people sticking knives in my back. Why do people stick knives in peoples backs?
This can just go on forever really. until you start getting well I take my mothers purse because people stab me in the back.
see were this is going. What does it matter what somebody else did to her? I can see her point if you did something to her and she was reacting to what you did. But if she does something to you for something someone else did I would re think the relationship. She is insane by deffanition. Insane Somebody that is not in present time. Unable to percieve what is going on around them.

Maybe ! But I would avoid a lasting relationship with a person like this. She should see a shrink before to enter in a love relation with anyone because she is going to destroy anubody fool enough to pay for her past.... It is a vengance that people like her exert against people like you, nothing else. And if it is not true, then just flee because she is a monster....

It could be. She would be depressed at the very least. She might also be bi-polar. I am & I would be very hard to live with. Children have 25% - 50% chance of inheriting depressive or bipolar gene. You might want to be a good friend but if I were you I wouldn't get romantically involved.

She might have issues and what not from the abuse. and it's sad to say it, but she has baggage!!!!!!! You need to ask yourself if you are ready and willing to deal with weird little things like that, but I wouldnt deal with it.

She is Bi -Polar,dated one just like that too.I told her to ask her shrink if she was.Sure thing she was.She ended cheating on me because I wasn't there,when she needed me.

You need to understand her to be able to live with her problems. Talk to her about her life and maybe it will make sense.
