number of hours is the x axis because this increases no matter what.
slope- 4.5. Go up 4.5 and then over one. And then repeat.
y-int- where the line crosses x axis. easy, the origin.

well u know that the change in y is 4.5. and the slope is change in y over change in x. so the slope is 4.5. and for y intercept it might be the origin, i have a good feeling that it is because the y intercept is where the line crosses y axis. (0,0) appears to be that. if that is not y intercept, try y=mx+b so use one of those pairs. like (2/$9.00) then 9=4.5(2)+b. i believe b is the y in the intercept or something like that. plot the points on the graph paper as x/y. i'm not going to completely solve this for u, because it is ur homework, but i hope that what i said to u. remember. change in y over change in x is slope. i had to suffer through this last year and got like a 95 on my exam, so trust me on that.

Put the hours along the x axis and put the earnings on the y axis. To find the slope do one y value minus another y value and divide by one x value minus another x value. The y intercept is where the line crosses the y axis.

all you need to know is rise/run. so you can use the number of hours as your x-intercept and earning after tax as your y-intercept. so for example, use run as your earning divided by rise which is number of hours, then the answer should come out. No matter what pair you listed above, the answer should come out the same: and the answer should be (4.5/1)
