it got so commercialised, the only half-decent bands still around are autechre, aphex twin and radiohead (i dont know what kraftwerk and tangerine dream sound like these days).

i mean, you listen to a lot of dance and its just some generic drum beat, some similar noise and either a generic female singer or a high-pitched hamster thing.

Excuse me sir,

perhaps you is not lookin hard enough. Perhaps the inclusion of Radiohead as electronica means you are falling more on the soft rock side of town - fair enough but my take on electronica is the UK underground scene is so dark, dirty and ridiculously innovative that there's seemingly no limit to the noisescape.

record labels you might want to check to reconsider that bold statement:
Planet mu - http://www.planet-mu.com/
owner Mike Paradinas AKA Mu-ziq, Kid Spatula, Jake Slazenger, it goes on!
You mentioned Aphex so maybe you've checked them but no list would be complete without:

Rephlex - http://www.rephlex.com/
home to many of the greats, my favourite being Squarepusher: don't even try and question the sickness
Also, Nautilus and Vibert, who's also on...

Warp - http://www.warprecords.com/
they're also likely to be most up your street as they've got bands on their roster like Broadcast, Tortoise and Red Snapper but I like the pioneers like Luke Vibert (AKA Plug, Wagon Christ), LFO, Clark, Jamie Liddell and Prefuse73

Prefuse73 is worth mentioning again simply because he makes such beauteous creations. Erring on the side of Hipedy hop (technically referred to as "Glitch hop")

Ninja Tune - http://www.ninjatune.net
If all else fails and you want more commercial (without the normal dilution of interestingness) the ninjas will provide hours of pleasure, if occassionally a little blander than the aforementioned boundary-pushers.

Heed my advice or exclude the wonderoussness of melodeous glory from your life - your choice!

I agree. Prodigy happened. Not 'the prodigy', but 'prodigy'
