Why do we let these fundamentalists of economics, "religion" and conservatism, spread their insane ideologies which promote war, fear and misunderstanding and inequality, run rampant on OUR planet? Hopefully the tide is turning, and we will send these war-loving maniacs packing.
Also, when answering question such as "If there's enough food for everyone, why don't we feed them", a number of "market is god" types post their petty justifications for starvation, ie it's their fault, if only they did what we told them to...Think for yourself!

well, why are there so many extreme leftwing nutbags around, ruinining things for the rest of US? obviously not everybody agrees with you. everybody has a right to feel the way they do about things. just because everybody doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they are wrong, crazy or stupid. be a little more openminded... isn't that what democrats always say to republicans?

As a previous respondent has elequently answered humans have a pre-disposal to the amassing of power wealth and status within there society and unfortunately from the dawn of man spiritual superiority has been seemingly the easiest and most common root. As an atheist this from an early age has perplexed me but i have come to the profound conclusion that we (ie humans) are ultimately doomed to repeat this cycle untill we except responsibility for our own actions and not say it is the will of God or the devil made me do it! this goes for right wing nazis and do gooder lefties

You make a good point, and not in any sort of excuse to the behaviour you detailed, I must say one thing- this is human nature at both its basest and its most dangerous.
We, as a species, have always sought power- and there are many ways to gain it in the modern world. We use both despicable and outwardly respectable ways of gaining power (religious preaching/ capitalist ideology), but the thing to remember is that this is what humans have ALWAYS done.
In our globalised world, people are seeking to become part of something, belonging to a community etc. this leads to religious fundamentalism, far-right extremism and fascism.
I think your views are admirable, but at the same time I think we need to tackle the base of the problem- and promote acceptance and tolerance.
